Running a business from home (can we)?
Just wanting to know if we can run a printing / graphic design business from home (will the council allow us) we will only be taking orders over the internet and no customers will be coming to the house.
Also there will be no noise and waste is not a problem as we do not have very much as we will be very small.
The business will be run out of an 20ft x 20ft garage at the bottom of my garden in a residential area, the closest house is next about 20ft - 30ft away from the garage.

How do I stop someone from being led by corruption and money?
Someone I know is very stubborn, and is money-driven (comes from low-income family). He grew up in a harsh environment; he was constantly abused verbally throughout his teenage years by his father, and has no one to really look up to. He dropped out of high school during grade 11, and had to finish through adult continuing education. Recently, he took a semester in a diploma marketing program, but did not put any effort into it and has no plans on finishing the program. In his mind, education and good marks are not necessary for success. Instead, he relies on street-smarts, thinks he knows everything, and that he is right. He hates working under people and wants to run a business, thinking it's easy to pull off, but doesn't know what to do yet. To top it off, he believes a bit of corruption is necessary, and would have pursued illegal activities to make "easy" money if it weren't for his mother.
I'm adamant about getting him to look in a different perspective. I've tried telling him about Plato's The Republic. I've tried telling him how it is more honourable to tell his future children that he resorted to honest means to achieve success. I also told him to network and talk to business owners. I told him that life is more than just earning money. The problem is that he does not choose to believe it, and continues to pursue hopeless means (gambling, doing "odd" jobs, etc). I've asked him what he is passionate about doing, but he doesn't know, and seems unwilling to go back to school. I know that it's impossible to change people so easily, but is there a way of guiding them towards the right direction?
